Quiescence Acupuncture & Apothecary – Handcrafted Dual-Extract Formula
Prepare for Labour Tincture (100 ml) is a traditional Chinese herbal tonic crafted to gently support your body in the late stages of pregnancy and help prepare naturally for labour. Based on a modified Dang Gui San formula, this dual-extracted tincture combines carefully selected therapeutic herbs to nourish Blood and Qi and encourage healthy circulation, supporting your body’s readiness for labour when taken in the final weeks of pregnancy. All tinctures are handmade on site using high-quality botanicals and a dual extraction process to deliver a bioavailable, concentrated herbal extract.
Supports late-stage pregnancy wellness: Traditionally used to help the body adapt and prepare for natural labour.
Nourishes Qi and Blood: A core intent of the formula in Chinese medicine is to help maintain healthy circulation and energetic balance.
Herbal support from week 37: Suitable for use from around 37 weeks gestation or about two weeks before a planned medical induction.
Concentrated dual-extraction tincture: Made using refined cane alcohol and purified water to capture both water-soluble and volatile herb constituents.
Herbal Ingredients
This formula is based on a classical Dang Gui San modification with the following herbs:
Huang Qi (Astragalus) 18% – supports Qi and overall vitality.
Ci Wu Jia (Siberian Ginseng) 18% – traditionally used to nourish Qi and strengthen resilience.
Dang Gui (Angelica Root) 14% – classic Blood-nourishing herb for women’s health.
Huang Qin (Scutellaria) 14% – supports balance and may help reduce inflammation.
Bai Shao (White Peony Root) 14% – calms and nourishes Blood.
Chuan Xiong (Lovage Root) 14% – supports circulation and Qi movement.
Bai Zhu (White Atractylodes) 8% – helps strengthen digestive Qi.
How It Works
All herbs undergo a dual extraction process using neutral cane alcohol and purified water. This method ensures both water-soluble and volatile herbal constituents are included in the tincture, making the extract highly concentrated and bioavailable.
Recommended Use
Dosage: Take approximately 3 full tubes (≈2.5 ml) in warm water, twice daily from week 37 of pregnancy or about two weeks before a planned induction — or as advised by your qualified healthcare practitioner.
Alcohol note: The small alcohol content (about 0.6 ml per dose) is considered low and safe during pregnancy; if preferred, you can evaporate most of the alcohol by adding the tincture to boiling water and cooling before drinking.
Consultation: Always check with your healthcare provider (such as your midwife, obstetrician or Chinese Medicine practitioner) before taking herbal tinctures while pregnant.
