Lactation Tea
- Estimated delivery: Dec 09 - Dec 13
Lactation tea is a blend of traditional herbs such as fenugreek, fennel, anise, coriander and goats rue, consumed to increase milk supply during the postpartum period. Its a caffeine free tea typically brewed one to three cups a day. While scientific evidence is limited, many mothers report a positive increase in milk supply when using lactation tea. The herbs may support hydration and help relax the body, which can be beneficial to milk production. Always consult your healthcare provider before using herbal products.
Drink 1 cup a day for a mild effect, and up to 3 cups a day for a full effect. Can be drunk hot or chilled after brewing.
Suitable for mum to drink from birth
The Australia Breastfeeding Association states DEMAND = SUPPLY. In conjunction with any lactation tea or cookies, removing milk from the breast is the best way to support the supply. See our blog on the best time to consume lactation foods.
